about 4 years ago i bought a small digital "spy" camera. i would use it all the time since i had no other camera working. though it was not the highest functioning camera (small internal memory, no flash, no preview screen) it never needed batteries and it is the size of a credit card, also it looks like a toy. at 2.0 megapixels, the quality is fine for internet applications and viewing images on a computer screen. printing has not yet been attempted with images from this camera.

when i moved from syracuse (2.5 years ago)the camera was taken out of commission, because i forgot the software at my previous residence. i put the camera in a drawer in the kitchen and it was virtually forgotten. nobody that i know now knows that i own it, and everybody from before who knows has forgotten.


today, December 6, 2006, i have successfully downloaded the proper drivers and software which allow this device to communicate with my computer, in other words,
the mustek gsmart mini 2 is again a workable device.

i plan on making this my day to day camera, especially when i want nothing to do with any other kinds of larger, cumbersome devices. there will be a focus on candid shots of people who i run into. as well as quick shots of my surroundings from day to day. this camera has no flash, makes no sound and is approximately 1.5x 2 inches (surface area, and approximately 1/4 inch thick with a lens that extends another 3/4 inch and accounts for 1/2 of an inch surface area on the face of the camera.

the camera is equipped with a self timer which only works in the regular mode and will not work for the largest supported resolution.
